Pumpkin decorating time! Jack-O-Lanterns are a rite of passage during Halloween, so if you have little kids, be sure to grab a few pumpkins and have a decorating day. Here are a few tips.

Use the Stem: stems work perfect as ugly noses. Turn your pumpkin on its side and carve around the stem. Your creation will look great.

Glitter/beads: if you are not a fan of carving, use glitter or breads to create a fun design. Use dots or stripes to create a decor piece out of your pumpkin.
  
Soak it: if you do carve your pumpkin, be sure to soak it in water overnight. Pumpkins lose moisture and die quickly, so give yours a good soak before using it.
