Kids aren’t always easy to take out to eat, OK, they are never easy to take out to eat.  In addition to dealing with what to eat, where to sit, trips to the bathroom and surprisingly forgotten table manners, parents dread the disruption that they cause other diners.

Books and Cookies

If you are in Santa Monica, why not try Books and Cookies.  This children’s book store is a sweet spot to bring young kids.  The space is divided into three kid-friendly areas that are perfect for snuggling, reading, playing and eating.  They have a kids’ café which sells freshly baked cookies and pastries and a great selection of healthy and allergy-sensitive snacks.

Au Fudge

Jessica Biel, a mother of two, created a healthy, kid-friendly restaurant that serves delicious organic dishes.  The 120-seat restaurant serves beer, wines, and cocktails, as well as kid friendly food chooses like brightly colored spaghetti and rainbow bread, to name just a few.

Kids are welcome and encouraged to eat healthily in a lively, upscale environment that parents love as well!
